Hello this week I have been learning about Sir Edmund Hillary. We have also been doing a 20th century explorer document. My class thinks that Sir Edmund Hillary is not a ordinary New Zealander. I think he is not a normal New Zealander.
Sir Ed showed a lot of leader ship like:
1.If he got stuck in the ice he would try to get out (Like everyone)
2.If there was no path he would make a path.
3. He did not give up.
What did they do?-
1. He climbed Mount Everest
2. He gave money to charity and built schools.
3. He led expeditions to the
South Pole, travelling on tractors over crevasse-covered
glaciers and deep drifts of snow.
Do think Sir Edmund Hillary is famous just because he climbed Mount Everest?
